Greg Pike of dog, cat
and mouse fame was arrested, then cuffed and hauled off to the
pokey in plain view of tourists for having committed the heinous crime
of "loitering with intent to beg". Some folks complained that Greg
deserved such harsh treatment for his third degree misdemeanor citation because he was blocking the sidewalk.
Wait a minute! Hasn't a certain coffee house in downtown Old Bisbee put up a wall permanently
blocking the sidewalk? Could the only difference between these two
cases just be that one of these 'blockers' has friends at City
Hall and the other does not?
When it comes to blocking sidewalks, it appears that Greg is a piker!
With a permanent wall and awning, Greg's competition in
blocking public thoroughfares has clearly upstaged his dog, cat
and, mouse act!
